Born in a leap year also brought trouble to some people. In some countries, the computerized system of government and private agencies do not support the leap year calendar. Not a few people who were born on February 29, have resigned to accept a written birth certificate birth date March 1.
“In written form my insurance I was born on March 1, because they do not support the computerized system for leap year,” said Peter Brouwer, a resident of Vancouver, British Columbia.
Along with several colleagues who also was born on February 29, Brouwer forming Honor Society of Leap Year Day Babies. Brouwer said, celebrate a birthday only once in four years, became its own uniqueness they have.
“We do not feel the drama that happens when you realize you get older every year,” he joked. Happy birthday for those of you who were born on leap year
